Unique Touches Grand Opening

In Corpus Christi, Texas along Alameda and Everhart lies a old building that seems to have quite some history to it. The old building is on Everhart Road and is named Auvil's Sweet Nothings. The business owner, Veera Auvil, has been the owner for the last eight years and acquired the building after her late husbands death. The very passionate lady is very affectionate and is seems to be very organized for her age. Located at 517 Everhart Road, Auvil Sweet Nothings, is a antique store with a bunch of knick knacks on dressers and display desks downstairs and upstairs put there by vendors.
Vendors who are on consignment by Auvil Sweet Nothings conisist of vintage home decor, antiques, handmade jewelry, womens clothing, sports cards and memorbilia. From dressers and chairs to christmas ornaments and peanut brittle packaged in mason jars. One of the prominent vendors in the Sweet Nothings building is Evelyn Cooper and her store that caters to the African American demographic, Lotts of Art. Lotts of Art in February had a descent turnout of the black community due to her event creation that recieved local media attention celebrating black history month. The black history month program brought local preachers, the assistant district attorney, and even attracted the Tony Award winner Ernestine Jackson who heils from New York City. During this time in February of 2018 the new business owners of Unique Touches, Eric and Maritza Tunchez, were contemplating on how to add some taste to the store of their own. Learning from Veera Auvil and Evelyn Cooper as business mentors Unique Touches owners adapted to the place by having a sense of community and belonging to Auvils Sweet Nothings. With the black history month program hosted by Lotts of Art every Saturday at 2pm, tbe business owners of Unique Toucbes were planning and organizing on products and services to be offered at their grand opening in the beginning of March.
As of March 3, 2018, Unique Touches, is now opened insude of Auvils Sweet Nothings. Thw two story building is becoming a place with more vendors and its becoming more of a mall without the corporations. Unique Touches feels right at home with its new line of chalk paints, milk paints, gel stains, pearl effects, top coats and glazes to be brushed on top of any raw wood, plastic or metal without the need to prime or sand. The quality products are American made and give jobs and entrepuenural oppurtunities to small bussiness owners, such as Unique Touches.
One of the premium Chalk paints carried by Unique Touches is Amitha Vermas Chalk Finish Paint. Amitha Verma is from Houston Texas and created 12 gorgeous paints because she couldnt find anything that could match her unique style. So she created her own. The Eurpoean color pallete is very lyxurious and the consistency is as of pudding. Another amazing product line is General Finishes. General Finishes is made and manufactured out of Michigan. The American wood finishing products are very qualified by many hipsters of furniture refurbishers and refinishers. The milk paints seem to be popular in the Unitex States but in Texas it seems as if the gel stains are the number one sellers according to data from the grand opening for Unique Touches.
With all the possibilites with just two lines of product it is safe to say that it is more like a moderate to expert user friendly products. Although Amitha Vermas transforming process is only three steps, many people seem to be flipping furniture themselves or just plain redecorating their home imterior. From the very first day the mostly women who purchased chalk finish paint from Unique Touches seem to be very excited about the products and very anxious to try it. Personally, when I tried it during the demonstration at the grand opening, the product is very user friendly and the products goes a long ways. It almost seemed magical. During the grand opening at least thirty people signed in and gave phone numbers and email addresses for future updates on sales, news and events. With a successful grand opening, Unique Touches, already plans on their second event, Paint a Piece Happy Hour to show people how to paint with the products and even allows customers to bring in their own piece of furniture to paint with people who share the same passion of chalk painting ir just simply creating art.
